We will aim to respond to any request received from you in relation to exercising your rights within 30 days from your request, although this may be extended in some circumstances in line with Data Protection Laws.

Your right to object to processing – You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to data portability – You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights.

Up North Campervans is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. We will always treat your information as confidential.

Under Data Protection Laws we can only process your personal information where we have a proper reason for doing so, which will be for the administering of the campervan hire.

When you hire a campervan we will collect: Contact Information, Driving licence and proof of address. Once you have given us your consent you can withdraw it at any time, unless there is another legal reason under the Data Protection Laws that allows us to process your information.

In order to administer your rental efficiently and to comply with our insurance company’s requirements it is important that you tell us about any changes to your contact details, including your email address or mobile number.

How we get the personal information and why we have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you:

  • when you use our websites or mobile device apps
  • in emails and letters
  • when you talk to us on the phone

The reason we collect it is:

Up North Campervans stores and uses your information to manage your campervan hire and to provide services in relation to the hire

When you submit an order for camper hire to us we need to know your name, postal address, e-mail address, telephone number, driving licence details, credit or debit card details.

We need much of this information to satisfy the terms of our insurance and to keep you informed about all aspects of your campervan holiday.

We may also use this information to contact you in the future for marketing purposes.

We will keep your personal information for as long as you are a customer of Up North Campervans. After you stop being a customer, we may keep your data for up to 5 years in case of any queries resulting from our transactions with you.
